Born in France in 1991, he lives and works in Paris.

The human figure is at the center of Nathan Chantob’s work. His painting style, which combines a great technical virtuosity and a psychological insight in the people he paints, is highly influenced by the work of Edvard Munch, Egon Schiele, Lucian Freud and Jenny Saville. But Chantob also finds his inspiration in street art: as a student at the St. Luke Institute in Tournai, the artist often took to the streets himself as a graffiti artist. Chantob won the Special Prize 2011 of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts (Paris).
