Pascal Bernier was born in 1960 in Belgium. He lives and works in Brussels.

His oeuvre is about violence of life, sexuality, childhood and paradoxal feelings. The artist uses and manipulates different representations of animals to take a light-hearted and detached look at social behaviour.

In his work, we see the fight for the survival of the species, which includes reproduction, natural selection, and cohabitation with mankind. Dominating relationships, both among animals and between animals and humans, are an on-going theme in his work.
